Cornwall Pride

Cornwall Pride approached us to create a brand new website that truly reflected the energy, inclusivity, and vibrant spirit of their events. Collaborating with talented Cornish illustrator Jessica Sharville, we commissioned a series of playful and engaging characters to represent the diverse users of the site, adding a personal and creative touch to the overall design.

At the forefront of the design is a dynamic, mobile-responsive homepage featuring a unique combination of the Pride and Cornish flags, showcasing the organization’s strong local roots and commitment to LGBTQ+ pride. The website includes feature-rich event pages, which make it easy for users to discover and engage with upcoming Pride celebrations across the county.

Understanding the importance of self-sufficiency, we provided training for the Cornwall Pride team, empowering them to manage and update the content via the website’s content management system. This ensures they can keep their audience informed and engaged with minimal reliance on external help.

One of the standout features of the site is a hate crime reporting function, allowing users to report incidents directly through a secure platform, in line with Cornwall Pride’s commitment to creating a safer community for everyone. We also integrated tools for donations, making it simple for supporters to contribute to the cause, and developed an online charity shop where users can purchase Pride merchandise.

To support the organization’s growing events calendar, we built a custom web application designed to market and sell tickets for queer-friendly events throughout Cornwall. This app ensures a smooth experience for event-goers, from browsing to ticket purchase.

In addition to the website, we spearheaded a Google Ads campaign to market Pride events across the county. By targeting search terms such as “Pride” and “Pride near me,” we helped drive attendance and raise awareness for the charity’s initiatives.

This project was an exciting and rewarding one for us. The fun, inclusive design made it a joy to work on, and we are proud to support the charitable aims of Cornwall Pride CIO, helping them create an even greater impact in the local LGBTQ+ community.
